Round the world in 150 days
4.30am. I wake to the sound of Adam, Ben, Ren and Leigh coming home from a boozy, sleezy night out.
I've been out with them having a lychee martini or two and then decided that i should be home seeing as i have a coffee date with Opes and Sue at Silo at 7am. So... 4.30, 2 hours of sleep and i'm wide awake to sound of Babs and Donna Summer singing 'It's raining, it's pouring, my love life is boring me to tears, after all these yearrrrrrrrrrrs'. Yeah, me too Babs. Anyway, a delicious Balsamic-vinegar-tainted breakfast of poached eggs greets me and then i find myself sitting alone in the lounge waiting for 7 o'clock to come along. The others have gone to get a couple of hours sleep before their days of Exams, house hunting and Adam's trip to Sydney to drop me off.
On my way to Silo, the day is just getting light and hundreds of mad cockatoos are squealing like little girls and attacking the crows.
Nice start to the day. Everyone's been asking me if i'm scared. And i say 'Well i was last week, but now... No'. I'm just going to chill out and enjoy the adventure. I've gotta go to the city to get some thermals because i wasn't expecting cold weather in London. Silly me. From what i hear, London gets around 3 nice days a year.
Oh well, i'm sure if i absolutely MUST, i could do a spot of shopping for something. Just because it will mean my survival. That's all.
Oh yeah. Shopping-wise, the purpose of this trip is a crystal cut cocktail shaker. I might find one in a market somewhere. It'll probably be some EXORBITANT
