Mon 7th,New member of our team Marc from Frankfurt joined us today for our visit to one of the most famous tourist attractions in China,the Summer Palace,a huge area over 290 hectacers,built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlan to celerbrate his mum's birthday,(I did leave a message just asking for a new bike on my birthday),same as most of the old buildings here it got burned down this time by the Anglo/French in 1860,it got re-built again in 1886 only so they could burn ...

Sun 6th,All ganged up,met up with Lina(USA) and Marc from Germany,pick up at 7.20 for a chance of a lifetime tour to the Great Wall of China,really not to much we can say,have a look at the photo's,been looking forward to this for years and even better than I could have imagined,AWESOME!!!

Sat 5th,Bit of a treat this morning a full English breakfast,the works and in our hostel dont even have to remove our indoor shoes.Time to try out the China subway,result,it's exactly the same as the Korean apart from the language of course,we were on our way to the Olympic village,what a fantastic stadium,the main stadium for the last Olympics 2008,91,000 all seater, only down side we had to pay to get in 50y about £5 so not bad but could'nt try out the running...

Fri 4th,After a difficult decision,either take the boat from Seoul to Tianjin(port a few miles from Beijing)cost about £80 and takes about 26hrs or fly to Beijing direct, takes an hour and costs £75 mmmm,so landed at the airport just after 2pm,weather a bit chilly but not to bad,caught the transfer bus number 3 to the train station,trafic bad so arrived at about 5pm,well you would have thought we had just arrived in Mongolia,bitterly cold wind that nearly knock...
