Arranged a suprise birthday party for one of Rich's collegues, about 30 people came, had a great aussie British barbie-off and i have to say Rich's skills in the bbq dept saw him through to a clear win with the aussie coming in a smokin 2nd, - out of 2 !(a nicer way of puttig Looser)! Found a house, in the process of being built - it is a 2 storey canal house overlooking the Peel Estuary. We have submitted our expression of interest and should find out in a week if we have been succesful. Although it has a smaller rear garden it has its own quay side onto the canal. 3 of the 4 beds are upstairs so at least the children will be upstairs with us which is more comforting to know. Swimming started this week - Finn is in the next class up now and how lucky are we, he is one of 3 students !! classes this term are earlier so we have to get a move on in the mornings !! and also with a 3/4 hr break between swimming and sports nippers it makes it a busy morning - still good practise for when he starts Kindy in Feb - the school day begins at around 08.15 i beleive !! Have enrolled Finlay into 'Sports Nippers' at the local recreation centre, part of the high school. He has 1.5 hours (non parent participating) (phew !!) of circuit type training and improving hand eye co-ordination and learning different ball skills, as well as interacting with about 20 other children - he enjoyed this 1st week. weather seems to be improving, no recent storms or floods, just clear blue skies most days - but the minute the sun sets about 5.30 pm...
