Hey all
I am in Christchurch now. Its ok here but def a little dull after being in Queenstown!!!!
Since i last wrote i did the Nevis Bungy, which is 143m and a lot scarier than any other bungy i've done. jess went first and very nearly didn't go but Quinn (one of the bungy men) managed to persuade her and she went- she was very emotional after!!! Anne went next- dived like a pro! And i was last...AND LOVED IT!!!! I wanted to go again but they said the only way i could is if i went naked...i was tempted!!! One boy was extemely scared and was crying loads and bottled it...but after some talking to by Jess- she was very good with him- he decided to try again and he went!! We were all very proud!
That night we went out for a quiet one (because we were meant to be doing a day trip to Milford Sounds the next morning)...but like usual with us a quiet one usually becomes a loud one and we didn't get in till quite late (oops- did manage to get us 7 free tickets for the rugby after party on Saturday tho...not quite sure how?!). Anyway needless to say 5 of us out of the now 8 (incl Matt) didn't make the 6.45am bus to Milford Sounds (although i didn't think i was going to go anyway because i had heard only bad reviews so no real loss there).
Instead i got my tongue pierced that day (yeah i know...sorry mum!! But at least it's removable!!!) and Steph booked herself in for a tattoo of 3 stars on her ankle (that look really good by the way). We then spent the evening with Wes and Bonzo watching movies and found out that Ben, Charlie and Danny (from Malaysia-Australia) were arriving that night...Anne and Steph were very happy!
On the friday the other girls decided they wanted to do a bungy too so we went back to Kawarau Bridge (the first bungy i did in NZ) and gave our support to them and also met up with Ben, danny and Charlie there.
After all the jumping was done (Fayes face was classic!!) some of us went ice-skating whilst Steph and Anne went off to the tattoo shop. I forgot how much i loved ice-skating. It was great fun- we played "it" and did trains and generally messed around until we couldn't take the pain in our feet anymore. On the walk home me, Nat and Bonzo had a bit of a photo sesh and then i had an early night.
The following day we checked out to change rooms (long story- we're just counting our blessings we were able to get a room 4 that nght as we were told being that it was Easter weekend everywhere was full) and then went off to watch the Highlanders play the Cheifs at a Rugby game. All the boys came too and it was a fab day. We sat on a grassy knoll surrounded by huge mountains with several thousand other supporters, drank beer and cheered for the Highlanders, who were our surragate team. Unfortunately they loss but only just and it didn't take anything away from the game.
After a quick stop in the pub we headed home to get ready for our night out for the Rugby after party in Chico's. Faye managed to get all the boys tickets during the day so we all went and it was a great night. Not fun getting up the next morning (yesterday) for our 8 hour bus journey to Christchurch though! Needless to say we slept the whole way and pretty much fell into bed as soon as we got here- on the bright side though we can eat chocolate again (we'd given it up for lent).
Today we spent the day looking around, eating chocolate and orgainising our trip to Kankora tomorrow. We have decided to rent a car so that should be fun!!!!!
