So...now we are in pardise, otherwise known as Krabi. was sad to leave khao sok, as i loved being in the natural environment. Plus, you cant really do stuff in krabi like elephant trekking :) did this on our last full day in khao sok and loved it. was pretty hilarious as well- typically i was on my own on a little elephant, screaming for the first 5 minutes as it was so rocky. so was pretty shocked when on the way back the guy let me ride on the elephants neck- no straps or seat or anything; you just hook your legs behind its ears and hope for the best. legs ached so much afterwards though. rest of the day we just chilled then went to jumanji bar in the evening, just a little local bar with cushions to sit on the floor and cheap drinks
was a 3hr trip to krabi but felt so quick compared to our other trips. first day was only a half day so caught some sun and went for dinner. then yesterday went on a tour of the phi phi islands, which consited of bamboo island (absolute perfection), maya bay, phi phi don and phi phi lay (dunno if thats how you spell them)where they filmed the beach, and did loads of snorkelling and saw the viking caves (or wiking as the thais say lol)
today have jsut been chilling at the beach again after sampling the local rum, sangsom, which karly and faye didnt like so i had to drink theirs- well 'ard lol. and also as we know the next few places we go to are more cultural spots so there wont be time for tanning. which is just as well as i currently resemble rudolph. its so intensly hot i cant believe it, especially as every so often there will be a ten minute burst of rain, then sun again. gonna go to one of the million restaurants later (or maybe subway/burger king haha) and maybe get a couple of drinks, but as we're travelling all day tomorrow probably wont go too mad.
