Hi LJ,
Farrk!$83.47!!! That's outrageous. I could put half a tank of fuel in my car for that. I am glad I didn't make the call although I would have just hung up after 10mins!!
LJ
Hi Poss, thanks for taking my call the other night, the cost of the call was $83.47 thought id tell you that- just as well you didnt make the call ha ha (as if) thats shows you talk isnt cheap.

G'day Bob,
See what I mean, blokes love fuel consumption figures! I know I do. Doing a rough calculation I get the I. Monarch burning 1 litre of fuel every 24 metres. Mind you the I. Monarch would be equivalent to about 260 loaded road trains (using about 70t per roadtrain)which, if you total these 260 roadtrains by 24m, gives you a total of 1 litre per 6.2 kilometres. Therefore shipping is much more efficient, better for the environment blah, blah, blah.
The Hilux still does better (1litre gets me 7.5km)but without the weight.
Have fun out there!

Howdy Simon,
Just read your latest blog update while rolling around in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Interesting you should quote truck fuel consumption. Speaking to a guy on the plane recently and he qouted 900m per litre for the larger roadtrains. Whoa!
All is well in Noosa and I should be back there on the 14th May. Reckon I will be breaking out the Maricat soon after.
Safe travels.

Hi LJ,
Hah Hah!Thought I'd get a bite to that one!
I am in my late 30's. I have crows feet which put me in that age bracket. If I had wrinkles all over my face (like her) then possibly you could say late forties early fifties? Wasn't trying to be nasty just an observation.
Anyway, the old slapper was much fitter, gracefull and competent at surfing than me. It's good to see the oldies out there having a go still! (Heh, heh)
Hope you still keep reading my rantings? I shall try to be more age tolerant in the future.

Hi Poss, was just catching up on your blog entry and i must object to your comment ***The older lady (I would be guessing late 40's by the face wrinkles?)** how old are you poss?? please remind me?? you wouldnt have any wrinkles would you? well ive read your last to entrys and know all thats been going on, you would know whats going on at home to if you had time to talk.
