Wow what an adventure so far!

My flight from heathrow was an adventure in it self! I wokeup at 3 am to findit had snowed that night, so i was sayinggoodbye to a snowy yardley hastings. I checked in fine and had to wait for my flight at 8:40. I got on the plane and then we got an annoecement saying that one of the engines wasnt working so thay were trting to fix it. this took around an hour. We got another anocement saying that the engine cant be fixed and we are going to have to get off and get on another plane. It was about 1 pm untill we took off. It was around 4 hour delay meaning I didnt get into Moscow till aroun 8 pm moscow time.

When I landed in Moscow it was -13 degrees. Comming out theairport quite scary with all these taxi divers shouting at you asking u if u wanta taxi. Lucky I was told to get a pre payed taxi. The taxi was exciting seeing lots of moscow.

I got to my hostel around 9 and met 4 of the other vokdatrain people in my room. All very nice ppl.

Yesterday some of the guys were going to the zoo, so I thought id tag along as i dint want to be on my own. Lets just say it was an exsperienece! Saw a white tiger and some monkeys pictures to come soon!

In the evening we met our honcho and she took us to the Red Square. Just wow at night its stinning. Pictures to follow too.

Today will be our 1st day on the train and our longest stint of 3 days so stocked up on food and getting the vodka in at the train station!
