Colmar, 17.09.2021
(English as always below)
Bonjour meine Lieben, da bin ich wieder!
Gleicher Ort, andere Zeit.
Einfach loslaufen. Endlich wieder viel Luft und Zeit haben. Diese letzten 9 Monate waren schon ziemlich hektisch. Aber nun pusten mir wieder die Winds of Change ins Gesicht. Also ab morgen.
The walk goes on.
Finally! The few days of hiking in July were just the appetizer of whatever is to come now in September. For the next 8 or 9 days I will move on with the E2 and I start right where I finished in July. But this time it goes from the Vosges to the Jura mountains.
After Harish told me that he found, after some intensly scientific research, that there are no more bears in the Vosges nowadays, I decided that I can manage the walk by myself again. The backpack is ready and lighter as compared to July , but this is because I left tent and sleeping back at home. The nights are just way too cold for me to survive them outside. So, this time, it will be houses with roofs for me.
Traveling earlier today by train from Potsdam to Colmar was already challenging, because shortly before Colmar some rocks blocked the rails and we had to wait many hours until miraculously the train moved on. Now this is the main difference between hiking and train or whatever riding: The hiker does not bother some rocks on the trail. She would just move on.

Harish Good luck and enjoy the rest of your hike. We look forward to reading about your adventures in part 2 of your trip. I hope that all rocks stay put in place and not roll down. Bon voyage :)
