Jeronimo's monastery
Next to the Belem Tower, this church is supposed to be highly significant for the Portugese. It was chock o block with people that day. And the stained glass work here was as brilliant as any other in Portugal and Spain.
Funnily enough, we never made it to the famous Belem Tower. We just went by the gardens around the area and hopped on a bus. Must come back to visit the tower and taste the Pastis de Belem.
Archaelogical Museum
It was filled with ancient clay tablets, hieroglyphics, artefacts and pots.
The statues were endearingly ancient. There were some mummies and my favorite was a tribal headgear with horns :D
Maritime Museum
It had some models of ships, exploration instruments used, ancient parts and the best part was underwater videos that were played throughout the museum on small screens.
