Actually pronounced by the local as "Yo-te-bor-ee", Gothenburg has been quite a vibrant city. It's difficult to rival the incredible Stockholm, but Gothenburg still has delivered well. Located at the southern point of Lake Vattern is a town called Jonkoping which we stayed in for 3 nights. Again we weren't blessed with the nicest weather but we made the most of our time here. We've had a few huge storms recently, one of which damaged our rental car in Finland, lucky we weren't in it at the time. Karlstad is about 3 hours drive west of Stockholm, situated on the huge Lake Veren, which is the third largest lake in Europe. So here we are in sunny Stockholm and we were quickly reminded why we like it here. We've hired bikes for the duration of our stay and we're making good use of them. The weather has been perfect and the sun isn't very strong, so it's impossible to get burnt. We are spending a lot of time in Soder- a very cool area with hidden bars and shops everywhere. If you're planning to visit Finland in the future, feel free to give Tampere a wide berth as this country has so much more to offer. The choice of quality restaurants is limited for what is a pretty big city and there is a large contingent of shady characters getting around.
