This was a part of the Scandinavian trip we were probably looking forward to most as we had our own cabin in the middle of nowhere! We loved our time at the cabin. It was right on the lake and totally private. There was a Finnish couple living on a tiny island opposite us, he was really keen to socialise, he even unexpectedly brought us a whole heap of his home smoked fish wrapped up in newspaper - so sweet. But we're both reading the girl with the dragon tatoo and we weren't feeling like taking our very slow row boat to his very isolated island! But we did take the row boat out a few times and did a bit of fishing off the side without too much success. It was pretty much forced relaxing for most of the time as it was so peaceful and so, so quiet. Not a single sound. Very different to central London!

Other than sleeping, reading and relaxing we did a bit of walking through the Oriono Gorge which was just beautiful. Again not another soul around - except a few mosquitos to keep us company! We also had a round of golf in a nearby town and had a few BBQ dinners on our little jetty at the cabin. Wish we had a bit longer here, but it's off to Tampere today. Will write again soon and no, still no photos, sorry!
