My Euro Trip
Eversince i was young, i have been the typical sentimental person. I watch love stories all the time, get passionate about everything I do and most 0of all I dream. Yes, I am a dreamer. And because of this I made a Bucketlist of my life. I have been keeping this for about 9 years now. Somethings are quite impossible to happen i believed but i felt like writing it. One of it was to travel to about 84 countries in the world before i die. I don't know why 84 but that was the number that was in my head while writing it. Anyway, when my mom told me that we were going on a Eurotrip which will include 8 countries, i din't feel anything special. It was just hearing another news for vacation since we do travel every school break. I'm not really amaze by going on a Euro trip but then i remembered my bucketlist. In number 6 it said "being able to travel to 84 countries before i die", and i was like "okay this could add up before i put a check mark on number 6". Yet, the part that truly made my heart beat was the fact that i was going to Paris. It was actually number 3 on my list."To be in the city of love and see the Eiffel tower and just stare at it from sunset to moonlight." I have always believed that i will get to do such thing on my Honeymoon after getting married. But maybe God has a greater lesson for me.Before i get to the exciting part and talk about Paris, I wanna talk about the rest of my trip first.
First stop, Rome-Italy. Unlike other people, I am not that interested with being in Rome since i know what i'll see there are the Ruins of it's city and it's history. Arriving there, it gave me goosebumps though because i was finally in Italy. The weather was 8 degrees when we went down the plane. From the Airport, we took a cab and met our group in the city proper of Rome. Then the following day, we toured around the city. We saw different Basilicas and ruins of Rome including the Famous Collosseum and the arc of Constantine. It was beautiful knowing I was one in the most historic place and famous spot in the world. Being in Rome has it's own essence specially whyen it comes to food. I made sure that we were eating oure home made dishes. The Pasta in tomato sauce, Lasagna, meatballs and the Gelato. True enough that the taste is really different. And yes, The best that you will ever taste. The city was really nice and I'm thankful i was able to experience what the Roman people do and Eat.As they say, when in rome, do what romans do.And so I did.
Next stop was the city of Venice. Still in Italy, we went to the venice Island where several movies was shot. The Island is just full of nice architectures and shopping boutiques. Yes, Me and my sister pretty much shopped a lot and it totally made my day. Yet the essence of being there was truly to experience the romantic city with it's famous Gondola Ride. There are a lot of replica of these boats which we tried riding in macao but this time, It was the First and Genuine one in the venetian Canals itself. The feeling was just so relaxing and that day, I couldn'ty thank the Lord enough having to shop with all the most expensive designer brands in the world plus experiencing Venice all in one day!
Then we went to the Vatican City. I thought it's a part of Rome but then I learned there that it is actually a country. The smallest country in the world in the heart of Italy. It's wierd but the place is just amazing. The Genuine Pieta and paintings of Michael Angelo was there. The architectures of the building were very nice.I can't really appreciate it that much since it's not my thing but having to see the Vatican which i just usually see on Tv everytime a new pope was elected was something.
Then we went to the city of Assissi. It's a very small city but has very beautiful sceneries. We ate our lunch in there and went up to the upper basilica then down to the lower one.
From Assissi, we went to Salzburg, Austria. The first part we visited was the Garden of Mirabell. It was very beautiful with those very colourful flowers that it's almost impossible to be real. The same garden was actually used in the movie of Julie Andrews "The sound of Music". Then we went to the house of the famous musician Mozart. Can't really relate since i really don't know him.yet, he is quite famous that even his face are on the chocolates. Seeing the mountains of Austria was the thing that made me go wow in that place. It was very natural and pretty amazing. It was like painted by God with his bare hands.
Then we headed our way to Leichtenstein. It is also one of the smallest country in the world and the place is pretty amazing because of it's castles. It was like being in a movie scenes where the houses were like playtoys.we just spent half a day there to cross the border on the way to Switzerland.
In Switzerland, the Lake of Lucerne was just beautiful specially seeing white swans that are actually floating around and a wooden brindge in the center of it. Then the best part?, definitely this actual scene of the lake with the view of the hilltop and a huge castle with flags on top. Then with it's sunset. I was walking on the bridge looking at this scene yet i forgot to bring my camera. But i tried capturing it with my iphone but there are just some things that cameras can't really capture unlike the naked eyes. The next day we went up to Mt. Titlis and it was the first time in my life to actually see and touch the snow specially the fact that it's summer. I was wowed. Yet, I oculdn't stay that long playing with it since I get sick easily. The mountains were just amazing with the snow on top. The scenes were nothing i have ever seen before.Switzerland is just such a nice place to be not to mention for a chocoholic like me, Swiss chocolates are definitely one of the most delicious chocolates in the world. I couldn't get over everything i experienced there until the following day we went to the Rhine Falls of Switzerland and it was very beautiful and just as amazing as the other places I have mentioned. Truly, It was a part of the trip to be remembered and it's one of the highlights.
Then we were off to Germany. We went to the place were Cockatoo clocks originated and it was really cute being on an actual cockatoo clock factory like.but t5he thing that amazed m e again was the Gothic Cathedral of Germany. I thought it was just another church like the ones we've seen in Rome but it was actually something different. The Archetecture was really different and magnificent. Everything was just so detailed. Everything was just so huge and nicely done. Again, I was wowed.
Next stop was Netherlands. The famous city of Amsterdam. I witnessed it myself that Cannabis and prostitution is truly olegal in their place. You'd see people doing it on streets and getting high everywhere. The city is beautiful with it's rivers and museums too. Amsterdam is pretty amazing specially seeing people living life as if they din't have nay problems to deal with and everything was just having fun. The center of their city is actually A beautiful carnival. That's We also saw the famous Atomhow "Happy go lucky" liter4ally the people there are. Then at night, The famous Red District is so famous that there are about 8,000 prostitutes you could choose from. With different cultures, kinds and color of girls. It was one hell of a sinning den. Definitely for people my age who wants to get wasted. But the main thing in my mind was If there was even just one person in there who's soul will be saved. I'm not being righteous but seeing the place it's like every soul was just lost since everything is just legal in Amsterdam.anyway, somehow i really did have fun in there and i did enjoy Amsterdam.
Then after that, we were on our way to Brussels. The Capital city of Belguim. Home of the famous Chocolatiers. Something fascinating for a chocoholic like me. And yes, it satisfied my cravings.Imagine having Haagen Dazs shops every about 100 meters and so as Godiva Chocolatier. Wow.The place was definitely the place to be for chocolate lovers. There was one building that caught my eye thought. It was made of gold and it was also really detailed. I really thought it was a church since it really looked like one. Yet, i learned that thagt was their cityhall.I was stunned and remembered how our city hall looks like back home compared to that. We also saw the famous atomium of Belgium and it's really big like a rocket ship. You'd realize how amazing the human hands can make yet the natural beauty of it's mountains from God's hands are uncomparable.
Then the last but definitely not the least stop. The most awaited part of my Euro trip. Paris.....to be continued.
