My Trip to Italy
Eversince i was young, i have been the typical sentimental person. I watch love stories all the time, get passionate about everything I do and most 0of all I dream. Yes, I am a dreamer. And because of this I made a Bucketlist of my life. I have been keeping this for about 9 years now. Somethings are quite impossible to happen i believed but i felt like writing it. One of it was to travel to about 84 countries in the world before i die. I don’t know why 84 but that was the number that was in my head while writing it. Anyway, when my mom told me that we were going on a Eurotrip which will include 8 countries, i din’t feel anything special. It was just hearing another news for vacation since we do travel every school break. I’m not really amaze by going on a Euro trip but then i remembered my bucketlist. In number 6 it said “being able to travel to 84 countries before i die”, and i was like “okay this could add up before i put a check mark on number 6”. Yet, the part that truly made my heart beat was the fact that i was going to Paris. It was actually number 3 on my list.”To be in the city of love and see the Eiffel tower and just stare at it from sunset to moonlight.” I have always believed that i will get to do such thing on my Honeymoon after getting married. But maybe God has a greater lesson for me.Before i get to the exciting part and talk about Paris, I wanna talk about the rest of my trip first.
First stop, Rome-Italy. Unlike other people, I am not that interested with being in Rome since i know what i’ll see there are the Ruins of it’s city and it’s history. Arriving there, it gave me goosebumps though because i was finally in Italy. The weather was 8 degrees when we went down the plane. From the Airport, we took a cab and met our group in the city proper of Rome. Then the following day, we toured around the city. We saw different Basilicas and ruins of Rome including the Famous Collosseum and the arc of Constantine. It was beautiful knowing I was one in the most historic place and famous spot in the world. Being in Rome has it’s own essence specially whyen it comes to food. I made sure that we were eating oure home made dishes. The Pasta in tomato sauce, Lasagna, meatballs and the Gelato. True enough that the taste is really different. And yes, The best that you will ever taste. The city was really nice and I’m thankful i was able to experience what the Roman people do and Eat.As they say, when in rome, do what romans do.And so I did.
Next stop was the city of Venice. Still in Italy, we went to the venice Island where several movies was shot. The Island is just full of nice architectures and shopping boutiques. Yes, Me and my sister pretty much shopped a lot and it totally made my day. Yet the essence of being there was truly to experience the romantic city with it’s famous Gondola Ride. There are a lot of replica of these boats which we tried riding in macao but this time, It was the First and Genuine one in the venetian Canals itself. The feeling was just so relaxing and that day, I couldn’ty thank the Lord enough having to shop with all the most expensive designer brands in the world plus experiencing Venice all in one day!
Then we went to the Vatican City. I thought it’s a part of Rome but then I learned there that it is actually a country. The smallest country in the world in the heart of Italy. It’s wierd but the place is just amazing. The Genuine Pieta and paintings of Michael Angelo was there. The architectures of the building were very nice.I can’t really appreciate it that much since it’s not my thing but having to see the Vatican which i just usually see on Tv everytime a new pope was elected was something.
Then we went to the city of Assissi. It’s a very small city but has very beautiful sceneries. We ate our lunch in there and went up to the upper basilica then down to the lower one.
