Today we had a busy one. We woke up at 7AM to clean up and join the continental breakfast provided by the hotel. We then headed off to a harbor to go on a breakfast sailing trip. We got on a very large and very fancy catamaran and headed off. Sailing was fun and relaxing. Sheenah seemed to really enjoy standing at one of the very front points as the ship swayed up and down with the crests and troughs of the waves. She got pretty wet but it's all good fun. We sailed for about 2 hours, back and forth along the Honolulu coast and returned to the docks.
We then headed towards Sea Life Park on the East coast of Oahu. This is the same location that 50 First Dates(Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore) was filmed. Although in the movie they had walruses and it doesn't look like they ever actually had any in real life. However, we did see lots of great shows and animals. The dolphins were so smart and impressive as well as the sea lions. Penguins are very funny to see waddling around and we got to feed a bunch of large sea turtles. The sun was beating down today and I reburned my already healing burn from Makena Beach, Maui. Ouch! I'm getting red. Even Sheenah is a bit red tonight but she handles the sun much better than I do.
We then headed to Waikiki beach to play in the water and cool down. The water is very calm here b/c the brakers are 1/4 mile from the shore(lots of surfers out there). After playing around a little bit we headed back and cleaned up. We then went out and had some Korean food at a restaurant Sheenah found online. I'm not a huge fan of Korean food but there are some dishes that are quite tasty. Sheenah absolutely loves the stuff so it was a good diner overall.
Now we are back and watching a DVD in our hotel room. We have an early and equally busy day tomorrow so keep reading!
