So this is my first blog on Tuesday 24th August. I have just 9 full days left in the UK. I guess a part of me is excited but I'm really starting to realise how much I will be missing. So many friends to see, so many relatives to visit and I barely even stop to take it all in.

I've spent ridiculous amounts of money trying to make sure I am fully prepared for the big day but I just know that somehow I will end up forgetting something.

I would just like to personally thank everyone that has helped me in some form this year towards this gap year because without your help this wouldn't be possible and I am so grateful!

I will try and update this as often as possible but I cannot make any promises but what I do know is that I'll be thinking of everyone at home during the year.

I don't really know what else to say ,so I will end my first blog here. Thank you for reading this and I hope you will follow my blogs as I journey to Uganda.
