Yesterday was a really chilled out day; went out to Glebe's vintage markets then in the evening went to a Lebanese restaurant, complete with sheesha pipes and belly dancers! Today we headed off to Bondi beach. Today the 'Festival of the Winds' was taking place, which is when all the locals bring their kites to the seafront to fly. The beach side was a little more crowded than usual due to a load of diplomats visiting from APEC so we couldn't visit the famous Bondi Icebergs for breakfast, how rude... We walked along the sand and went on a mini rock climbing adventure where mum was caught in a massive wave and was soaked to the bone - comedy genius!! So we (squelchingly, on mum's side) had a Mr Whippy and made our way back to the bus for the city centre..
Tomorrow, Mum heads off back to sunny UK and I am going to start the next leg of my trip, which is a placement with the RFDS and Air Ambulance service in Sydney.
