Yesterday was a really chilled out day; went out to Glebe's vintage markets then in the evening went to a Lebanese restaurant, complete with sheesha pipes and belly dancers! Today we headed off to Bondi beach. Today the 'Festival of the Winds' was taking place, which is when all the locals bring their kites to the seafront to fly. The beach side was a little more crowded than usual due to a load of diplomats visiting from APEC so we couldn't visit the famous Bond...

After a rather drunken time last night and due to rubbish weather today we opted for Featherdale Wildlife Park in Blacktown (West of Sydney). We had a great day there and got up close and personal with those famous Australian animals; stroking koalas and feeding kangaroos. So although it rained on us we had a great experience and probably won't forget it in a hurry!

Today was qute a nice day with a walk to Glebe jubilee park, a lovely view of Anzac bridge and the harbour yachts. This afternoon we went to Broadway shopping centre and to the cinema. We had our tea in a Suchzean restaurant, nice......The bottle of wine got us a bit worse for wear oops!!! A nice walk back to our hotel finished off our day nicely.....

Today started off energetically with a walk up The Rocks and then over Sydney Harbour Bridge. We walked all the way across despite some shaking knees and mum's whimpers! Once we arrived in Sydney's North Shore, we had a quick coffee and cake, then back over the bridge to the city,- on the train this time!! Despite the wind and spitting rain, we decided to have a look at Darling Harbour instead of making it through APEC madness in the CBD. A really nice area appar...

Today we went to Manly, northern Sydney. This is a really pretty part of Sydney that is easiest to get to by ferry from the city's circular quay, which is exactly what we did! In Manly, we went to Oceanworld, and saw lots of tropical fishies, sharks and massive stingrays, and turtles. Also had a chance to see some native Australian lizards and a snake - arghhhh!!!!! Walked along the beach and saw some surfers, then had a nice meal on the seafront. A nice chilled...
