Hi Everyone,
I am in a small beach side town called Knysna. After Cinsta we went to Addo elephant park where suprisingly enough we saw Elephants. They were so gorgeous splashing about in a mud hole and the babies are really cute as they don't have control of their trunks yet and they just swing around wildy as they are walking along, they try to use them to splash water on themselves then get fed up and stamp their feet. I got some great photos. Also saw a hyenna and jackel which I hadn't seen before.
We camped there the night which was a bit freaky with the jackals howling but I was safe. In the morning when we packed up a huge frog was sitting under my tent, I felt like I was in the murchison. We are travelling alongside another tour group from Intrepid, they are doing the exactly same tour but we are the better group and we keep pretending we are in the amazing race against them, you can imagine how much I love that.
Yestereday we went to the worlds highest bungy jump and G said there is no room for sissys in Africa but there was still no way I was jumping. Some of my tour group did but it was a really foggy day so we didn't get to see them jump which was a bit of a bummer. There was definitely part of me that was tempted to jump so maybe when I get to Vic Falls.
So today we have a free day in Knysna and it is so lovely we are just wandering around and checking out the place. the people in Africa are so friendly and helpful I haven't felt worried or scared at all. I have just randomly found this place and don't have my thumb drive with my photos on to post but I promise I will put them up soon. Only have 3 more days left in South Africa before I head to Namibia, I thought I would be in training for that sand dune but all I seem to do is sit and eat so much for the African diet.
Anyway hope you are all well and happy
Love Sharon
