Well my first weekend of exploring Phuttamanthon Its Saturday morning I'm up at 8 am instead of 6 am, lovely warm welcome from the 6 dogs and Quarns mom, with a big bowl of exotic fruits , I managed to explain Lipton tea ,as I haven't had a cup of tea in 5 days ..so I'm struggling a little bit with lack of caffeine , when usually I drink 5 cups a day. so after a 15 minute game of charade s She finally got what i meant and came down stairs with a huge cup of tea,OMG the moment... I could see stars and angles floating around that cup , I've never been so happy to see a cup of tea, didn't realise I could be so ecstatic about something so small, here it is my cup of tea( I'm having a moment ) haha . Afterwards Qarns mom offered to take me to a shopping mall and town . Which was about 25 minutes away from where we live. She dropped me off and off I went venturing around the town . The town was not what I expected it was a very built area cinema ,KFC , mc Donald's ,Pizza Hut , normal indoor market s with wicked cheap clothes , and there it was standing right in front of me .. A place that does hair extensions, oh my days I kissed the floor !. I've never ran in to a shop as quick as I did this one , for a good 20 minutes I battled to explain what i wanted , having Afro hair it was also a challenge for them too. Luckily there was a fluent speaking English lady in the shop getting her eye lashes done who s half Thai ,so she jumped In and rescued me. I've been really excited about the hair situation as Bangkok is well known for amazing hair extensions and cheap. This shop sold 100% Thai hair starting from £6 to £50 a gram , to do a full head you would only need 2 grams , I've already got my hair done I just needed a re boost,this cost me for micro weave £50 including the hair !!! BBBB bargain, micro weave in England starts from £70 for a few rows to £ 2000 and thats with out the hair ! It took them two hours and I'm really happy. I left the shop and discovered another shop inside the market , I could of kicked my self as a lady boy ran the shop , it was allot more professional looking and her hair that she sold was from china , the quality was immense ! Slightly a bit more up in price by 10 quid ,any one would pay for it.Gurrrr moment , but hey ho I'm happy. I still ventured in to the shop and got my hair styled cut and straightened for 4 quid ! BBBB. Bargain over the road was a huge shopping mall, after living basically for four days , I was so happy to see Mac, boots , so many shops high street and designer , so today I've had a well deserved shop and revitalise on the out side and feel good on the inside too, most certainly a day of " gratitude "it feels great and I've really appreciated every moment of it. So now I'm ready to face another week of basic
Living and looking forward to it. I got home to a warm welcome from the gorgeous dogs and a 3 course meal from my lovely Thai family to celebrate " Chinese New Year" the year of snake , if its anything like the dragon year , I can't bloody wait' happy new year to you all and may love luck and much blessing s come forth in to your lives from me 6 dogs my Thai family and a few geckos ;) x
