First mission this morning was organising bus tickets from Santiago to Valparisio the Valparisio to Mendoza (Argentina). My first attempt was a fail after arriving at the Tur Bus ticket counter and nobody spoke english and at this point in time mi no espanol. So I had to walk out of Tur Bus and find a shady spot where I could look up my Spanish For Dummies book (thanks Kate H) and write down what I wanted. Second attempt great success. After ticket purchasing I went for a wonder to Santa Lucia (see photos) where I was convinced by some medical students that they need 3000 pesos (AUD$6) more than me. I am such a sucker! - Last time I have promised myself. Then I wandered to the Museo Istorico Nacional (National Historical Museum) another fail, no English translation devices today. Some lovely artefacts but not the cultural history nerdiness I was looking for. Now it's about a billion degrees inside so going to have a little siesta. Buenos tardes : )
