First mission this morning was organising bus tickets from Santiago to Valparisio the Valparisio to Mendoza (Argentina). My first attempt was a fail after arriving at the Tur Bus ticket counter and nobody spoke english and at this point in time mi no espanol. So I had to walk out of Tur Bus and find a shady spot where I could look up my Spanish For Dummies book (thanks Kate H) and write down what I wanted. Second attempt great success. First leg of flight to Santiago complete. Made it to Sydney. One hour flight delay, currently waiting in line with the rest of the passengers to start boarding my flight to Santiago. 14 hours to go, I'm hoping it is beer o'clock when I land.
