We all know that Canada doesn't have that much history as Europe does, and we all respect that. However, when you see a castle in the middle of a semi-new continent, it's amazing. The Casa Loma, which basically means 'House on a Hill' is about a hundred years old and built for a man called Sir Henry Mill Pellatt, who was a soldier, financier and industrialist. But that's besides the point. The building was perfect and I basically photographed every inch of every room that was there. We spent nearly four hours to listen to the audio tour and learn everything possible that was there to learn about the building.
We saw the building on our tour at night in the car, but that's not the same as seeing the actual inside. I got enough information about it to actually go and write about it, something I really want to do. It's amazing!
That's not all we did today of course. We didn't get lost on the weird TTC bus this time, but we did get a cranky bus driver which is yet again an experience in the city that is sweet to everyone in it. We went to the mall with Kris just to get a quick look and to know the way towards the mall by foot so we can at least go there without getting lost too much or be annoyed in the bus. I tasted a cranberry/strawberry bubble tea there and I loved it! Also, Tim Hortons is a really good coffee place and it's actually quite cheap, especially in comparison to Starbucks.
Tonight we're off to the movies! <3
