FYI. In case you haven't noticed, we've been adding photos to our existing photos folder (especially villa bigau and our outings)
This morning we had set out to do a long trail run after dropping kids off at camp. The run started off amazing-more hiking than walking because of the cool descent into a large hole in the rock... But after about 30 min we were stopped by park ranger and told that trails were closed. They have a system in France where certain trails get closed randomly and its up to the hikers to check the website beforehand to find out if it's closed for the day. Who knew! We then tried later on to be rebels and risk trying a different section of the trail but then changed our mind once we saw mountain bikers who informed us that the trail was closed. So we ran up and down a road that had some serious hills. Had to do something strenuous before our gourmet meal!
And what a meal it was! This was our second time back to the Mas D'Almandine-a little gem of a place around the corner from us. Fine dining but in a really cool atmosphere. We came here for dinner with the kids a few days ago and were blown away! Even Sophia kinda liked the Foie Gras! See our photos for the meals-not that they do it justice. But needless to say, it was an amazing - and spoiled - way to spend the afternoon.
In the late afternoon we took the kids to Les Baux, an ancient little town up in the Alpilles and a big tourist attraction. Their attraction was the big candy store where they stocked up on some good loot! But such a quaint little place with some cute little shops. Domi bought a bow and arrow (watch out), Jen bought some special clay soap to scrub her battered toes from running, Sophia bought a good luck charm necklace (which broke right away-who knows what that means) and daddy bought a knife (his newest collection). Back home to our villa, there was just enough time for a quick dip in the pool while simmering a yummy homemade meal of sautéed onions, garlic, tomatoes and zucchini with fresh stuffed pasta and goat cheese (with wine of course). Another perfect day!

Jody You guys put our meals to shame! And I'm sure everything tastes better there, kind of like when you are camping, everything tastes better -- although your setting is much more sophisticated!
