What can we say other than that this bike trip totally exceeded our expectations and was such a highlight for all of us!
First of all, extremely organized and well planned out trip-from the routes, to the meals, to the activities -it could not have been better. The guides were so good with the kids-and not surprisingly Domi fell in love with one of them (Erika). The places we stayed at were all charming and special in their own way-including two chateaus. We visited chateaus, wineries, museum, goat farm. Kids also learned how to fence and make chocolate and did several other "kids only" activities.
The kids really seemed to have enjoyed the biking. Sophia was super on the bike-that girl has endurance! With the "occasional" push from Steve, she was usually able to stay with the main pack. Domi was quite content to be on the piccallo bike behind mommy and sang/talked the entire time while peddling. He was great at helping to peddle hard when going up the hills. He does have to learn though to help keep the bike steady rather than dancing or sticking out his arms and legs while cycling (making mom very nervous!)
And finally the food and wine....lets just say that we were glad to have this be an "active" trip, as we certainly had our share and more of fantastic food and wine!
