STILL in phnom penh! rang embassy again this morning who told us my passport should be here either tomorrow or monday so great help they are!!
Sun was shining today again though which kept us happy. what started out as a DOF trip to Udong ended up being a bit of a disappointment due to a certain douchebag of a tuktuk driver. Basically not being content with the massive $21 that we aggreed to pay him, he then tried advising other cambodians to rip us off. First he encouraged a poor tour guide boy... who we repeatedly warned we were not paying. After going round the monuments the tuk tuk driver told us we HAD to pay his friend $2 (obviously we stood our ground but DID NOT appreciate being considered personal money banks!). Not only that but then when we requested to get some food, he took us to a place and after a cambodian conversation with the people there told us the food was $6. Again blatently trying to take us for mugs! To top off the pure cheekyness of it, when we told him to take us some place cheaper he stated "No!" Obviously once i reminded him that we still hadn't paid him and could easily just spend his fare at the place he then decided we could leave.
Once we got back me (jessie) and ferg chilled out at a park-and did some tanning which made us feel alot better. Met a cambodian drunk woman and then chatted to some cute breakdancing khmer kids who were also out 4 our money.
Hopefully (fingers-crossed) passport will come 2moro and then we can FINALLY make our way 2 thailand :)
