Today was black water rafting day, never heard of it before but sounded interesting - It's like white water rafting but its in a tyre tube not a raft and it's through caves, hence the black water - it's pitch black so who knows what colour it is. We got a little train to the base of the cave then climbed the big hill to the entrance before having a guided tour of the cave, which isn't really what i was after but still interesting. Then we found the river hopped on our tube and floated back to the bottom through the little rapids in the lovely sunshine.
After getting back to K9 we embarked on our 4 hour drive to Lake Matheson, Euan had told us about this lake and said that if we got up at 5am to watch the sunrise we'd get some fabulous photos of the Lake with mount Cook in the back ground. Off we went.....
