This is just a quick note to talk once again about the food!!!! Well, maybe I´ll start with last nights debacle... hehehe
Kirbs and I headed off to meet up with Joe and Em, and had a chat to our taxi driver on the way... there are no discos or anything open here atm due to the swine flu and peak of winter they´re trying to contain it... Kirbs and I started off with a drink (and attempted to eat some more food, very unsuccessfully!) which was the strongest long island I´ve had since Bali!! lol
We moved onto cocktail house and accidentally ordered a bottle of wine each instead of a glass which is where Joe and Em found us! They very kindly helped Kirbs with her bottle, but my sweet taste was a bit too much... hahaha
From there we headed to another bar and just hung out and chatted... a few funny maps of England later it was suffice to say I was plastered... I´m sure the speed and vodka (speed is a drink like redbull) helped too!!
Apparently we got home around 2 or 3... I was quite happy to have only been sick the once... Hahaha
Today we packed everything out and sorted out a plans for the day... I was pushing up struggle street in a MASSIVE way... lol. Around 12 Kirbs and I headed off with a Canadian we met at the hostel to Don Marios which was recommended to us on the wine tour. (By the couple from Brunswick who run Burlesque Bar, who also happened to be the girl who picked a fight with Kirbs about being Catholic... lol). The restaurant was a fair hike away but was worth every second of the drive...
The food was divine and the waiters were brilliant... :) I got an entree, main and dessert, and had the most beautiful steak I´ve ever had... 300g of medium rare goodness flame grilled... The waiters even let us go back into the kitchen so we could see how they cooked the food! It was just amazing!!!!
In about 4 hours we head off to Iguazu so we´ve got the 32 hour bus trip, but we´re really looking forward for some warm sun! We´ve stocked up on food from the supermarket so we can eat some ok food on the bus, and Kirbs has 2 bottles of Marlbec to tide her through!
I won´t have a chance to get back on until we get to Salta on Wed, so hope you´re all well and miss you lots!!!
