In your latest post, which of course I enjoyed in it's entirety, I found one phrase particularly delightful "No, your eyes are not dreaming", thankyou for brightening my day :)
Helen
Rubik cube Sean...you should save those smarty pants for a rainy day.

First of all, Durka.
Secondly, Mohammed Gihad.
Sounds like you've had a good week...Take some pictures of Super Dragon for me :P
Wo wo wo! You can't solve a Magic Cube in under 5 minutes :O
Ping Pong, aye? Reckon you're decent enough to challenge the Klingons for intergalactic control? I will need a decent team mate if we are to save the planet from total destruction :/
And finally, I love you.

I knew you had banned the Mom thing that was why I used it!
I was thinking he might come out for about 10 days, when is best?

Hi Sean,
Just a note to let you guess what we did the last 5 days.... We did a HIKE through the Annapurna......... Something for you???
Anyway, how are things working out in Huludao? Still cold (sorry, didnt read your last story cause internet is reaaaally scarce and slow here)
Let us know how you're doing. We got some new roommates but they're not as funny as you are!
TAKE CARE, Sietske and Gijs

Just to remind everyone who is skypeless, or who wants to phone Sean in the middle of the night and wake him up, that you can call him on his mobile for 0.5p per minute from a landline (not sure how much from a mobile) by dialling 0844 200 1010 (or have a look at http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/intcallchecker/china-mobile for other cheap numbers). x
Sean
Good to know you're alive and well, Mum! (All of my students have been barred from using Americanisms like 'Mom', by the way!)
Return flights are no more than £400. BA, Cathay and Etihad are best. A 16-hour flight each way for a couple of days here...? After being paid I'll have more than enough to look after us both here.
I am being groomed by a guy at the college but nothing I can't handle! My landlady is amazing: she today brought me an umbrella, a butcher's knife and changed the batteries in my gas hob. She also hung up my laundry! Bit disconcerting that she comes in when I'm not here but all my money's in my shoe and she's lovely.
Today my classes were amazing and really enjoyed our first whole-class debate. I'm training them to construct hermetic arguments (airtight, not Pagan). Also, day by day I am becoming more powerful at ping-pong; I've organised a football game this weekend, too, and will be swimming in the natural hot spa.
So, to answer your question: very happy, healthy enough and quite safe!

“Ping pong or how the Chinese say: ping pong”
Mom
Hey son . . . I miss you madly, truly, deeply. I have never done this blog thing before and am only doing it now because it's the only way to reach you. I ask Ethan to tell me what you're up to and to check you have made contact each week as agreed, he said he hadn't heard from you for a few days so I hope to prompt you to reassure me that you are happy, healthy and safe?!
You give good blog son, I could hear you speaking as I read through. Are you also writing a journal? Can't believe you have your copying vetted, that's mad! are you being followed, has your room been checked out yet? Trust your brother to use the T word on the blog!
I am trying to put some money to one side to send you brother over for a few days... what's a good price, which compant, when should I look to send him and what is Ella planning re a visit?
Loads of questions .... miss you No1 xxxx
Ethan
You have balls. I like balls.
Sue
Great update today, you sound like you're getting into your stride there. Hope Ethan is getting some ping pong training in for when you get back! Keep us posted, I'm living vicariously through you...
