Good day to you all! This is Taylor writing from now on, and I will try to keep up with my adventures here in Oxford (at least every once in a while :) ). Yesterday, after mom and I were picked up in our nice little car and were driven to Bedford, England for her to work, I was left to explore the town and to read my book for class. It was a really nice change of pace to be out of the hustle and bustle of London. I got to walk along a little river that I will post some pictures of, and I got to enjoy a very nice hotel. Then, this morning, I embarked on my adventure of travelling alone to Oxford. Buying the train ticket was simple, but then I found that I had to lug around all of my bags all the way back down to King's Cross Station in London, then onto the tube to go over to another train station, and then from there to the Oxford train. I was nervous about this whole ordeal until I made it into my seat on the Oxford train. When I arrived in Oxford, I was amazed at how beautiful the town is! There are some amazing gardens and fields behind my dorm that is closed off to everyone except students at the school (and they are AWESOME!). The town is also bigger than I expected, but that means there will be more to explore. I feel relaxed having settled in to this place finally and I am ready to start classes. As everyone who I have talked to thus far knows, I am a little anxious to get back home... but I am also very excited about the next four weeks. I think that now that I am in Oxford, I will be busy and surrounded by things to see to the point that the time will fly and that I will love it.
