Well here we are in New York, flew into JFK last night, got to hotel which is small but in great location, then off to local Italian pizza shop round the corner, yum....this morning we all decided to get hop on hop off bus, first bus was full, second one came and off we went, saw some iconic sights like Empire State Bldg, Macy's, Chrysler Bldg, went thru neighborhoods like Chelsea, TriBeCa, Financial District, SoHo, then got down to Battery Park and we all had to get off, bus broken down so we had some lunch and decided to catch bus to Brooklyn, that never came. We spent the next several hours, along with other bus patrons chasing down a refund, didn't get it but got extra few days, big deal, no buses, doesn't matter how many days we got...lol. At one stage got a bit worried that we were going to have to bail Rob out of jail, lucky he found a cooperative green bus guy, or I think someone was going to have a black eye.
Finally found the night tour bus to Brooklyn, then the tour guide stand right in front of me the whole way to Brooklyn, had a few words to him along with others who couldn't hear him, he was very rude to us all. No tip for him that's for sure.
Had dinner at Tomes Square, that is pic of Times Square, Gramps too tired to see much of it tonite, he been running all over the place getting mad at bus people....lol.
New day tomorrow, they not going to bother us tomorrow, we won't let them, so we are going to Ground Zero and shopping at Century 21..all good.
Love New York, just not the Green bus...lol.
