Hello everyone,
So we left you in Kho Samui and travelled by boat across to Kho Pha-ngan. It is a quieter, smaller island but still quite commercialised in places. We were staying in a resort called Milky bay on the southern coast, very nice with a pool, pool tables and ping-pong!! The most exciting thing for Scott was seeing a 2 foot (not 3 foot as he would like to believe) grass snake in a tree and then going into the outside toilets we regularly used!!!
The next day we went on an all day boating trip which involved a shot of Thai whiskey at 10am!! fishing ( I caught 2, scott 0!), snorkeling and feeding the fish on the northern coast around the coral reefs, a trek inland to visit another waterfall (not all that impressive as they have had very little rain) and relaxing on the boat. The next day we found out that 2 of scott's friends from NZ (Shane Stone and Matt Munn) were also on the island and so we met up with them and went out in the evening with them for dinner and a few drinks at a cool temple bar on a cliff (does anyone know anything about the bar on Sunset beach, Had rin?!). The next day we left the island and spent the next 24 hours travelling by boat, bus, overnight sleeper train and another bus and arrived in Kuala Lumpur late on the 6th. We are staying in the china town area which is quite busy and near all the sights. Today we have visited the Petronas Towers and Medereka square and walked around lots. We also bought a new (and better!) camera and so will get some photos up shortly.
The next plan is a bus to Singapore tomorrow and 2 nights there before flying off to Australia on Monday to stay with Scott's brother for a while.
Love to everyone as always xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
