A beautiful 29c day today. Breakfast down in the breakfast room, the setting a bit less luxurious and the breakfast options a lot less than @ London County Hall. But the croissant was French so that's all that mattered! We did some shopping in the department store behind the hotel, then bought our lunch and had in the courtyard gardens of one of the church/museums. Beautiful setting - what I imagined Paris would be like. Off next to the doll museum. Finding it was a happy accident, even with a map I am finding it difficult to know where we are going. The museum was very cute and the girls enjoyed it. Had a lovely rest after in the park next door. The park is called the Anne Frank park and is dedicated to the memory of Anne Frank. Very pretty and laid out beautifully. Off next to the Magic Museum. Stopped along the way at McDonalds to get a cold drink as it is very hot! Bit of an experience trying to order items in French. Am relying on lots of pointing and a bit of charades. Eventually made it to the Magic Museum. Apparently it is set in the dungeons of the house of the Marquise de Sade. Lots of fun. Great exhibitions and a very fun, private magic show! Next rooms have automata, which Mario was looking forward to. Alexandra hailed a cab for us and we had a cool, quick ride back to the hotel.
Out to dinner to a restaurant recommended by the concierge as I really wanted to try some snails! The snails were very tasty, loved them. Celeste had said she would try them but in the end chickened out. We liked the meal but didn't like getting overcharged and the head waiter's attitude was a bit poor.

Alicia "head waiter's attitude was a bit poor" have to say it again....it is Paris, you wouldnt get the full experience without that traditional French hospitality :)
