Another long lie, and actually got to go rafting!!
Picked up at 11, and really really bumpy 45 minute van ride down dirt tracks. There were only 3 other people on the tour, and 3 guides. Note to people, if you ever have a child, do not call him Forest, as this is a stupid name, and will lead to a stupid child.
I was totally terrified, as I didn't know what to expect. There were 2 levels of rafting, and they said I should go on the easy one, as I'd never done it before. it was pretty tame, and I wished I'd done the other one.... ah well, next time!
We were given a quick bit f training, and told what to do it the boat flipped over (the part I was most scared of), then off to the water. There were quite a few rapids, some we went down forwards, others backwards!
We stopped for a rest, and they asked if anyone wanted to go down the rapids on their own, without the boat. I did it. It was so difficult to walk to the middle of the river, as the current was so strong it kept knocking me over. I got loads of water up my nose, but it was pretty fun.
Finished up, and got given loads of fresh pineapple to cool us down. Got changed, and headed down the road for some lunch, which was included. Loads of rice and beans, yum. Got given the CD with the photos for free (should have been $25) cos they forgot about me the day before.
Back for another cold shower, don't think I've had a warm one since San Jose. I ache all over!! Out for a really nice group dinner and cocktails
