Day 81
The Oz Experience bus dropped us off at Palace Backpackers about lunch time and we checked in. There had been a fire on the roof and our room was really damp from when the sprinklers had gone off, it stank! We were so tired so we had a day nap. When we woke up we went on a hunt for some food but everywhere was shut cos it was sunday evening in Australia and the Aussie's don't wokr too hard. So went back to bed haha!
Day 82
It's getting colder the further South we go and it's winter here so we went on a hunt for a ascarf for Scarlett. We've brought hardly any warm clothes and it's so cold at night! For lunch we met up with Simon and Ben, Scarlett's Mum's cousins. We ate at a chinese place mmm. Then we went on a mooch on the City Cat around the city, it's a small ferry that goes around the river in Brisbane. It was so weird to be in a really built up city compared to places like the cattle farm and Rainbow Beach. That's what is good about oz, every destination is different.
That night we cracked open the and got ready to go out. We polished off a litre each and headed to the Down Under Bar, the bay down under the hostel. As soon as we were on pints we were gone, nothing, don't remember a thing. It sounded like a good night though!
Day 83
It took a while to walk today, we both definately had the worst hangovers we've had on this trip so far. But a Buger King and McDonalds helped us through the day. We went for a walk to the man made beach which is quite weird it being in the middle of a city. It had sand and everything.
Later on we went to Ben's house for dinner and met his wife and kids. The kids were so cute and gave us a tour of the house. Ben and Ally cooked us both a meal, it was so goood! Better than the two minute noodles we'd been living on! AND, we had home made maringue and strawberrys for dessert, spoilt.
