Set off for Queentown stopping off at Makarora for the night where we had a Kareoke competition!
Stayed in little triangular huts (were getting a bit tired of staying in outdoor cabin accomodation as its getting cold now and u have to trek outside in the night if u need the toilet!)
Also made a stop at Wanaka where we spent a couple of hours at Puzzling world which was fun!
Just before we got to Queenstown we called at the first bungy site in the world- The Aj Hackett Jump at the Kawarau Bridge- we saw a fair few people jump and a few who chickened out!
When we got to Queenstown Jo came to meet us and we were re-united at last! We went to catch up over a tasty meal and a few glasses of wine!
Queenstown is a really cute upmarket ski town- very expensive too! Surrounded by the remarkables mountain range and a huge lake. We spent most of our time with JO having coffees and shopping- we also met up with our mate matt from swampys to watch him do some bungy jumps.
We desperatley tried to find work but there was nothing as ski season not started yet. We stayed at a cool hostel called Bungi backpackers and had a night out with Jo and some other friends so we could see what all the fuss was about. There were some really good bars- a good night out! We cured our hangovers the next day with a burger from the famous Ferg Burger- a must if you go to Queenstown!- the burgers are huuuuge and loads of variety! The best weve ever tasted!
