The big day - the reason for our trip. Helen & Ben's wedding day.
We got to the mount Maunganui surf club for a 10am ceremony on the beach. The weather was cloudy (good as the temperature was perfect) the vows were lovely and the bride looked a million dollars.
Their little son Arthur shared the ceremony too & managed to keep the miniature copy of his dads outfit (crisp white shirt & chinos) pristine!
Hazel & Adam had a go on a bungy trampoline ride set up between the surf club and where we were parked.
Then we arrived back at the family rental house for lunch & a paddle in the sea.
The evening do was in a spectacular setting at Sulpher Bay marina. Great food & company, made all the sweeter by my lovely cousin Michelle collecting Adam & Hazel at 9pm & taking them home. That was me on the dance floor for 3 hours !!!
