Time for country no. 9, España! On the way we stopped at the French seaside town of Collioure, a beautiful place and there was a free bus from the car park where we stayed overnight to the town. We made the most of this by going out for some farewell moules frites and drinking a bucket load of rose wine.
Over the border the next day, first to a tiny medieval town called Pals, lovely but had looked around it in an hour so spent the rest of the day soaking up some well earned rays at the campsite swimming pool.
Next day we had a bit of culture and visited Salvador Dali's wife's house, which he had decorated in his rather mental style, before going to Tossa de Mar on the coast. It's not like your typical Spanish resort, really pretty little old town and a castle overlooking the beach.
Barcelona was next where we did 4 days in the city and a trip to Montserrat. As it's so huge and sprawling we did the open top bus, stopping at the Gaudi Park, the Olympic Stadium (thought that would be well boring but actually really nice) and swinging by all of the modernist houses along the way.
Wandering around the city we were permanently clutching our belongings, paranoid about all the tea leafs and pickpockets. No one was getting their hands on our stuff, even though we probably looked slightly mental!
Montserrat was impressive but it was a cloudy day so the photos are mostly duds.
Tarragona was next, interesting place with lots of Roman stuff dotted around including an amphitheatre on the seafront. Now on our way to our mates down the coast, trying the find the nicest coastal stops along the way.
Take care folks,
Sarah & Justin

Julie Gala's castle is brilliant isn't ? I want a coffee table in the living room that looks down on a real stuffed Horse in the cellar below. Simon is so boring....
