So back to France we went heading south like the wind to get away from the freezing weather. Stopped in Beaune, which we had read was one of the best places in France for wine tasting. Well we thought 'when in Beaune' and headed to the nearest wine cellar. We went on a self guided tour through the cellars and onto an old church tasting 15 different wines along the way. We then stumbled out into the daylight and realised we were completely wasted! I had to go back to the campsite for a sleep, but at least we got our money's worth!
The weather was getting warmer but we ploughed on through France and went all the way to Millau, site of the famous ginormous bridge. The area's beautiful and there are loads of campsites along the 2 rivers that meet near the town. Stared at the bridge in the morning and continued on our way.
By this point we had decided to do a surprise visit to Emily's (my sibling) where our good buddies Sue and Ken were currently on holiday. We parked the van around a corner and crept towards the house, sticking to the shadows... cue lots of very confused faces and a dramatic dropping of a bottle from Emily, followed by run times and lots of fine dining!
