Well hello there. I decided it's about time we actually wrote something on the site!
As you can see from the pictures we started off in Paris, spending far too much money doing all the tourist activities (it has to be done). Stayed in a campsite in Maison-Laffitte, a lovely little place 20 mins outside Paris by train.
Then headed down to my siblings abode in France for plenty of fine dining and so Justin could finish off Vince the van (just posted some pictures of the finished product for those who only saw it as a plumbers van...).
Our only stop off was near a cave called Gouffre De Padirac, very impressive with an underground river which you get a boat on during the tour.
Since Emily's we headed down the coast to Nice via Nimes, Avignon, a small resort near Cannes called Cavalaire Sur Mer. Also stopped at a ye olde Roman aquaduct called Pont Du Gard. V Impressive. Drove through Cannes desperately scanning to film festival crowds looking for Bruce Willis but only saw loads of swanky w*nkers with press passes and a hearty supply of fake boobs.
Been at a Brit filled campsite near Nice for 4 days. The first one so far that isn't full of old German couples in massive Hymers. It's right by a train station so got the train to Nice a couple of days, then cycled down the coast the other way to Antibes which was v nice. Sitting on our asses in the sun all day today with the excuse that we're waiting for our washing to dry...
The bikes have been a godsend as Vince, bless him, he does struggle with windy and/or bumpy roads. They nearly didn't make it past the first week though as we pulled up at a deserted campsite in the hills to be swiftly followed by a Frenchman on a bike shouting something about velos. While I was trying to remember what velos meant I noticed he was actually riding Justins velo and was trying to tell us that our bikes had fallen off the back! We drove back down the road to find his wife and child guarding the other bike and rescued their battered remains (the bikes not the wife and child).
Our only other disasters occurred at Emily's when first their car was backed into by a road sweeper, with us all inside yelling and banging on the window. Then after dropping Lynda (aka mum) off at the airport the car wouldn't change gear and overheated. After pulling over shouting a dramatic 'get her out of there!' we retrieved the baby from the front seat and opened the bonnet to see the water actually boiling in the engine and gushing out onto the floor. Other than that fun times have been had!
We're off to Italy next, heading to lake Como and testing Vince out on some mountain roads. Not sure where we're going to visit in Italy yet so if anyone has any recommendations let me know.
Hope you are all well, glad to hear you've been getting some nice weather, first one to burn in a beer garden gets a prize!
Check ya later dudes and dudesses

Carol Hi Sarah and Justin, Love the photo's and news about your adventure so far, the missing 'velo' made me laugh, type of thing that happens to us. Look forward to next update. xx
