Travelling back to mainland onto Cambodia we took a different boat, the bus dropped us at the docks and we had to walk a long promenade I suppose in very windy conditions, bags certainly helped keep us on the path! The boat was pretty small and with that wind very choppy too! They passed out bags! We had been told the crossing day before had caused a fair few to be unwell! I zoned out head phones on and closed my eyes! 1 1/2 hours later we pulled in and got our feet on firm ground. We got onto mini bus and were taken into Hai Tien the tour office were to do our visa's while we had a snack. Our 12 departure came and went! Our passports however were taken on another bus to the border, we were a little worried but there was alot of us. Our large air conditioned bus picked us up at 1 and headed to Prek Chak/ Xia Xia the border, we all got off and walked out of Vietnam after they looked through our passports, we then had to re-board the bus to drive about 10 foot through another barrier, then we were told to get off and had various forms to fill in to get into the country. So much for the office doing it all! We even had to have temperatures checked and agreed by a dr we were not suffering from a fever, swine flu still being a concern! After going to one final point to have the passport stamped, we boarded the bus onto Kampot. The first notable difference as we crossed the border and there was a casino!
