We had planned to go to the lagoon but unfortunately as i woke up and had a peek outside, it was raining a bit and cold...so i knew the lagoon day was out of question unless someone wants to catch a cold! We decided to be like the australian people and be lazy seeing as it was a sunday after all. After a full morning of lying in the bed and getting ready in a slow motion with the despair of bad weather affecting our moods, we eventually kicked our bums in the gear and decided to go to the Rusty market which was apparently the backpackers market, we set off and luckily the rain had subsided so we walked to the town armed with umbrellas in case! When we arrived , we was disappointed to see that it was closed, yes on a sunday! i told a local why it is closed, she revealed that every sunday in cairns are extremely quiet, everything is closed after 12 noon so we realised it must be the day where everyone just sleeps! Some of us fancied going to woolworths to buy m&m cookies seen on the picture i published. i We went to the pier to find out where we needed to be in order of preparation for the green island trip next day, along the way to the pier, i saw a ice-cream shop and i fancied a milkshake so i bought one which was the vanilla flavour! i have noticed that recently i have become addicted to milkshakes, knowing myself, my taste buds changes dramatically every month! it was Jaffa cakes , McDonalds apple pie, then it was cookies however i am pleased that it is milkshakes this time as i dont want to eat too much in hot weather like Cairns but so far it has been a very weird temperates of weather forecasts. The night had befallen and we noticed that our stomachs was rumbling so we faniced a Dominio s pizza take away nearby our hostel. i ordered a chicken BBQ pizza which i shared with Charlene as it was too much for us to be able to eat one full pizza each.
