Hi all! Just a quick note to tell you all about our stay in the beautiful Hvar... As Aletta mentioned we arrived in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar just an hour away from split. We were very lucky and found a lovely family to stay with for 2 nights, and they did our washing for free!! we went out on a small motor boat for one day which was great and we are now in the process of persuading Aletta to join the sailing team as she was a natural pro! We then left our little family after the second night to go to Hvar city, which was a 20 minute journey away on the other side of the island ( on a very cramped coach might i add! ) We arrived and luckily found an apartment almost instantly with thanks to "MOMO"!! Really cute apartment with 2 bedrooms and our own bathroom, kitchen and living room!

We spent most of days relaxing on the rocks ( as they don't have sandy beaches here!) and enjoying the amazing views. Then most evenings we went for a nice meal and almost always ended up with an ice cream in our hands by the end of the night! On Friday night we met up with some Australian boys we had met from the place we had stayed in before, and went for a couple of drinks before hitting the 1 club of the island. Luckily for us though, theAustralian boys were either really rich or really drunk and insisted on buying all of our drinks and our entrance into the club, so we ended up saving quite a lot of money! The club was amazing with an open air dance floor, a swimming pool and an R and B room (where we spent most of the night). We danced until 5 in the morning and then started to make our way home, when we bumped into a guy who walked home with us who only turned out to be the next Blue Peter presenter!! I was in awe!!!

Finally after 4 days in the sun ( and a very sunburnt Abbott) we packed up our little apartment and headed back to the crowded coach to board our overnight ferry to Ancona. We arrived in Ancona earlier this morning after a very uncomfortable nights sleep on the ferry's plastic floor, and have spent the rest of the day making our way to Florence, from which i am writing to you now. Our Hostel is probably the best yet, with a bar, restaurant, swimming pool and gym - which is where i'm headed now! So i better go but will speak to you all when back in England in under 3 days time!!
