Bolivia has been a massive culture shock! However I was talking to some Swedish people today and their slogan for this country is 'atleast it's cheap' which is very true. I arrived here from chile on a tour from San Pedro to iyuni,where I took a tour to the salt flats. It's amazing and the scenery is beautiful. The first night of the tour we stayed in the middle of nowhere, without heating or hot showers, which I went without. Did I mention it was -10 degrees overnight, I was absolutely freezing. The next night in a town called iyuni, it was only -5 degrees! The shower was also cold, without any heating either. This is a common occurance in Bolivia. The roads are mostly dirt roads, which are rocky and bumpy. The Bolivian people are also not as friendly as the other countries and some of the older women and the occasional girl are still dressed in the traditional Bolivian clothes.
