Aloha!

Am currently staying at Njoy! backpackers in Cairns, it's not as bad as i thought it was last night!! There are more people in my room now but it's still quite a mature crowd so people tend to keep themselves to themselves unlike Surfside in Coogee.. I met a german guy on the plane from Sydney so i'm spending most my time with him, today we met a load of essex guys and gals who were very funny, and there are lots of europeans and Canadians... The hostel up the road has an all you can eat buffet every night for $9 so we went up there for Kangaroo pie (it tastes just like Beef)!!

This morning we had a walk down to the city centre, there's a nice swimming pool / lagoon by the seafront that they made because the sea is so full of jelly fish and people need water to swim in! It's OK here, reminds me a lot of Florida though with palm trees and lots of straight roads!

Am feeling better today, had a good nights sleep last night and have been drinking litres and litres of water so that's good! Have a trip to the Barrier Reef booked for tomorrow which should be awesome, I can do an introductory dive without any qualifications so I get to go deeper and see more than I would snorkelling, cannot wait!

I then fly back to Sydney on thursday afternoon and am staying at the nomads backpackers for 2 nights until I fly to NZ on Saturday... Will probably go to the aquarium in Darling Harbour and have a quick trip to Coogee to see everyone from there before they head on up the coast in their newly acquired campervan!
