We were both feeling a bit worse for wear after the night before so had a lazy morning went for a walk to the marina restaurant for lunch! The fish & chips kurt got was amazing the best we have had in a long time! We went to balboa park in the centre of the city it’s a huge urban Spanish cultural park housing San Diego zoo, several theatres & museums with some amazing buildings! We spent a few hours soaking up the sunshine & scenery then headed back to the Gaslamp area for some food & drinks! We walked through a sketchy area of the city full of homeless felt a bit uneasy it seems all cities we have visited have the poverty sides as well as the extremely wealthy! We were going to have a quiet one & go bowling but it was super expensive so we decided against it & ended up ordering prosecco at the bar instead where we got chatting to a couple who lived in San Diego they were lovely! We really enjoyed their company & exchanging stories! Courtney was from New York & Alvaro was Chilean, he loved football so him & kurt hit it off straight away! They took us round some other bars for a few drinks & we persuaded them into meeting us the following day for an English band we had tickets for! We had a great night and a pretty late one! When we got back the RV gate was closed so we went down to the marina entrance when we opened the gate a small animal was almost doing a headstand in the middle of the lawn! It was a skunk we couldn’t believe it, i hurriedly filmed it and tried to see where it was going! Quite a funny end to a great day chasing a skunk around the marina ha!
