Hey All! So back in Auckland now after a really awesome time in the Bay of Islands! We are soooo knackered and Will is sunburnt bless him! Left Auckland early Monday morning and headed for Paihia, a coastal town north of Auckland, right bang in the middle of the Bay of Islands. I am offically hard code trekker! Today Will and I spent the day on Rangitoto a small Island off main land Auckland. We got a ferry over.. see pictures... and ended up on a 6 mile walk around the Island... but it wasn't just an Island no... a Volcano to be precise!! The Island was formed after a volcano eruption under the ocean 600 years ago brought all the rock to the surface.. it has history of settlements and WW2 history but now has no permanent residents.. n...

So woke up in New Zealand for first time today..was very surreal! Feel better than yesterday but still feeling the effects of the Jet Lag.. London Heathrow to Malaysa- 12 1/2 hour flight then Malaysa to New Zealand 10 1/2 hour flight... Think any flight now will feel short!
