This hotel, like many all inclusive hotels, provide an entertainment programme. I don't know about other countries but turkey have animation (entertainment) and 'animators' (blue coats if you go to pontins)
Well the entertainment here is described as 'soft animation' which we are translating as light entertainment. So far this has consisted of music blaring by the pool from 10 am while the animator sits at the pool bar, he gets thrown in the pool by mid day ... He has grown wise and always leaves his mobile phone on the bar now.
The music is softer when the female hotel manager is working hard in the gardens (sitting in the shade drinking coffee and smoking). The music is on a constant loop of banging Turkish tunes ... A kind of americanised b******, Turkish favourite boy Tarkan and a tiny bit of last years English tunes. Late afternoon there is often a change to more traditional Turkish popular music which is very hard to resist to dance to, this usually results in 4 or five drunk Turkish men doing a kind of gentle rugby scrum thing that I have seen the men do before at Jewish weddings.
The other entertainment has seen the animator badly organise water polo.. Well he might as well he is wet anyway..,
The Brits moan because the goals are either placed in the best shade position or the best sun position so no matter which you prefer you are assured of getting splashed!
The Germans are nowhere by this time as cake and coffee are on offer and the sensible Turks are either having a siesta or playing.
There has been nothing by way of evening entertainment , to be fair none is needed, there has been salad on offer three nights at a local bar, there is live music somewhere every night and we have done well in our choice of new best friends so have been well entertained.
Steven, lovely boy, is a good singer or crooner rather and we have been looking for a karaoke bar. Yashi beach is rather more sophisticated ( I just laughed out loud... Can't believe I described it as sophisticated) than nearby Gumbet and bodrum so no sign of a karaoke bar. Well yousef just came and introduced himself to us ... He is new animator and tonight (our last night, early night as we have to be in reception from 4.10am) he will be trying some karaoke from lap top! So if you like come see me and sing (from the sound system opposite our room across from the pool)
