BANGKOK - part 2 - the End of the Asian Experience.
As our time in Asia draws to an end, we decide to mark this with a few more days of fun and frolics on Khao San Road - more shopping for us and presents for the folks back home - Credit cards to the ready! We even manage to meet up with our mate from Vang Vieng, Guy, and have a few beers, which is cool.
Not much more to add to Bangkok part 1 as it was just as before (same same but different as they say out here - it's on tshirts everywhere). However we did take a tour on a pimped up Tuk-Tuk on our last night, this was with possibly the maddest man we've met on our travels so far - Mr Thailand (See photos).
We have adored nearly everything about our time in India and South East Asia . India is just incredible on so many levels it is hard to describe, while Thailand has some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen, along with some of the craziest poeple. Cambodia was a real education and was both stunning and sad in equal measure. Vietnam Rocks and Laos is simply stunning - a world away from anywhere on the planet and possibly the most relaxed place imaginable? We have seen and learned so much and been fortunate to have met lovely friendly people 99% of the time who have helped us on our way, you all know who you are. We are a little jaded by some things obviously and at this point after 3 months in Asia, it is good to be able to look forward to returning to the Western world (the plans for Australia are taking shape!), however with that will come the loss of some of the things we have enjoyed and treasured during our time here - the differences that have made it so rewarding and amazing. We are really sad to leave Asia as it has been such a diverse, fascinating, fun and unforgettable experience - the cultural overload has left us excited to see and know more but it will have to wait for another time.
