Brett's birthday today and so we are off to the Baseball tonight. We set off for Central Park this morning to have another look, when we are not sweaty and exhausted from running. On the way we walked up Madison Avenue to take a look at some of the more upmarket shops. Only window shopping this time! We got a guided tour on a tuk tuk through the park, our guide was Zac, he was very funny and did a good job. He was studying at uni and doing this part time so was quite knowledgable. When we left Central Park we walked down 5th Avenue which also has quite a few up market shops to look at. We stopped off at the Trump Tower (Donald trump lives on the top floor), went to the public gardens which were on floors 4 & 5. We went to the Rockefeller centre for a look before grabbing a bite to eat at subway. Headed home, had a chat to Scott and Jane about our plans for Vegas which is all sorted, staying in a penthouse with Cirque Du Soleil and dinner booked in for Saturday night. Headed out to the baseball catching the Long Ireland Rail Road to get there. When we arrived we purchased some beers and when the bar girls saw we were from Australia they made us do the Aussie chant for our drinks, on the second round they sang happy birthday to Brett also. We found our seats which were in quite a good spot located on the foul ball line in left field. No sooner were we seated but the food and drink men started circling the stadium selling everything you could think of. They even had fairy floss. It was an awesome game going into extra innings with the Mets getting a home run winning the game 6-5. Couldn't have asked for anymore. After the game we caught the train back to Penn station, grabbed a slice of pizza and walked back to the hotel.
