Caught the ferry in the morning to the train station to catch our train from Venice to Florence. Received some sad news upon our arrival to Florence, Bretts grandpa passed away this morning. R.I.P Pop, you will be missed! We decided to do the hop on hop off bus tour of Florence which was good. We saw the Michelangelo statue of David which had gorgeous views of the city surrounding, went to the museum where as Brett would say we saw the art of the ninja turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Rafaello and Michelangelo. We did some more shopping, this time Brett got something, a much needed belt as the other one broke (too many beers). We went out for a quick takeaway dinner (maccas) as we wanted to catch the night bus to do the rest of the tour, as we missed parts during the day by walking. Had an early night as it was an emotional day.
